Spencer Davis scored his second Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series win of the season on Saturday night at Five Flags Speedway, while Jake Finch secured the 2025 Allen Turner championship.
Davis led from start to finish in the 100-lap Pro Late Model contest, the last race at Five Flags Speedway for the division before the Allen Turner Snowflake 125 on Saturday, December 6. The impressive showing gives Davis two wins in three starts with the series.
"First off, I'd like to thank Nexus Racing, Surf USA Mobile, and I have to thank Tony Eury, Jr., Tony Eury, Sr.," said Davis. "They made this thing bad to the bone.
"It was as fast as Surf USA Mobile, you know what I mean? Fastest thing out there. It's been a good year for us. Again, like last time, I can't thank these guys enough for putting me in this car, and I know they're not regretting it."
The victory continues a stellar year for the Dawsonville, Georgia driver. Other victories on the year include the Throwback Classic and Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway and a Pro Late Model win during the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway.
"We've won some big ones. We won New Smyrna, we won the Easter Bunny, we won the big CARS Tour throwback race. We've turned this organization around, man. It takes everybody. There's not one single person on this team I can't thank enough. I'll see you guys at the Snowflake."
Jake Finch finished second, which was enough to secure the Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series championship. A former Outlaws champion at the track, Finch can now add the Allen Turner title to his resume.
Enjoying a successful year of Pro Late Model competition in his own right behind the wheel of the famed Ronnie Sanders Racing No. 18, Finch is ensured a provisional starting spot in the Allen Turner Snowflake 125 come December.
"It's always nice, you know," said Finch about the championship. "I love being home here in Pensacola. You know, like I said, if you just show up every weekend trying to win and do the best you can, the points will figure it out itself.
"That's what we did tonight. Just came and tried to win as best as possible. Came up a little bit short, but fortunately enough, it worked out in our favor."
Seth Christensen rounded out the podium on Saturday night, as Finch passed him for the runner-up spot on lap 76. Utilizing one of his Wildcard nights in the pursuit of the Kulwicki Driver Development Program championship, the third-place finish counts for double points towards the Kulwicki Cup.
"We come here with expectations to win, but a podium with these guys is obviously super cool, especially with this kind of competition," said Christensen. "Getting a podium finish for the Kulwicki Driver Development Program is pretty cool. That's going to go a long way in the points as well.
"I'm just looking forward to the third segment here. Hopefully, we can come out on top."
Keelan Harvick finished fourth, with Luke Yarbrough rounding out the top five.
The 58th Annual Snowball Derby takes place on December 4-7 at Five Flags Speedway, with the Allen Turner Snowflake 125 on Saturday, December 6. The Snowball Derby Preview is scheduled for November 22, the last organized opportunity for teams to take the track at Five Flags ahead of the Derby.
Five Flags Speedway will have racing next Friday, October 3. The Must See Racing Sprint Cars visit the half-mile, joined by Legacy and Crown Stocks.
