Officials with SpeedFest, the Southern Super Series, and Cordele Motor Speedway have announced that SpeedFest 2026 has been postponed due to incoming weather and travel concerns.
The decision comes as forecasts continue to trend unfavorably for Saturday in Cordele, Georgia, while a winter storm system is expected to move across large portions of the country beginning Saturday, raising concerns for race teams and fans traveling long distances to attend or compete in the event.
SpeedFest officials emphasized that the decision was not taken lightly, particularly given the strength of the pre-entry lists and the excitement surrounding this year’s event.
“This was a very tough call,” said promoter Bob Sargent. “SpeedFest has traditionally been a great event for us, and with the level of talent that was entered—including full-time NASCAR drivers from the Cup Series down to the Truck Series, along with some of the best ASA Super Late Model and Pro Late Model competitors—we were extremely excited to get on track. We are working diligently to finalize a new date and will have more information very soon.”
Additional details, including the new event date, updated schedule, ticket information, and competitor information, will be announced in the very near future.
Fans and teams are encouraged to continue following official SpeedFest, Cordele Motor Speedway, and Track Enterprises communication channels for updates.
SpeedFest officials thank the teams, fans, sponsors, and partners for their understanding and continued support and look forward to welcoming everyone back to Cordele Motor Speedway soon.
