The ASA Southern Super Series will return to Montgomery Motor Speedway this weekend for take two of the Rumble By The River, as a makeup to the event rained out on April 15. The event on Saturday, April 29 joins the Spring Explosion for the Show Me the Money Pro Late Model Series, for a Late Model doubleheader at the historic half-mile in Alabama.

Currently, 24 of the top Late Model drivers in the southeast are entered for the Rumble By The River. Casey Roderick, who leads the ASA Southern Super Series points after his win in the Sunshine State 200 at Five Flags Speedway, leads the charge into the weekend.

Donnie Wilson and Bubba Pollard each have three wins as a driver in Southern Super Series competition at Montgomery. Pollard will be looking for another set of the event’s signature boxing gloves. Wilson was the winning car owner one year ago with William Sawalich behind the wheel, and Wilson Motorsports will be fielding entries for Jesse Love and Gio Ruggiero on Saturday in search of another Montgomery win.

Augie Grill is a two-time Montgomery winner with the Southern Super Series, with dozens of other victories at the track between series such as the Show Me the Money Pro Late Models and the Modifieds of Mayhem. This weekend, he’ll be behind the wheel of the No. 51 Phoenix Construction machine while its regular driver, Jake Finch, competes with ARCA Menards Series East at Dover Motor Speedway.

Matt Craig is another former Rumble By The River winner entered this weekend. Craig won the event in 2019, leading 57 of the race’s 125 laps that evening.

Two-time Southern Super Series champion Stephen Nasse is also on the entry list, along with defending series champion Hunter Robbins. Surprisingly, both of these champion drivers will be seeking their first Southern Super Series win at Montgomery. Robbins won two Show Me the Money races at Montgomery last season, including the Alabama 200.

The full entry list can be viewed below.

Some drivers will be attempting double duty Saturday night, competing in both the ASA Southern Super Series and Show Me the Money Pro Late Model features. Drivers currently confirmed as entries for both races include John Bolen, Jackson Boone and Augie Grill.

Fans who can't make the trip to Montgomery Motor Speedway can watch the action on Racing America starting at 5 p.m. CT/6 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 29.
