With inclement weather forecasted for Saturday, May 27, the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour has adjusted their schedule for this weekend at Tri-County Speedway. As part of those adjustments, the $30,000-to-win Old North State Nationals for Late Model Stock Cars has been rescheduled to August 19.
The CARS Pro Late Model Tour feature will now take place on Friday, May 26. Originally, Pro Late Model heat races were scheduled for Friday to set the lineup for Saturday's race. The heat races have been removed with the adjustment to Friday, with single-car qualifying setting the field for the 100-lap Pro Late Model feature.
The Pro Late Models will be joined by the originally planned feature attraction for Friday, the GXS Street Stock Series competing for 75 laps at the Hudson, North Carolina facility.
Friday's race will be the fifth event of the season for the CARS Pro Late Model Tour. Mike Hopkins won the first two races of the season at Southern National Motorsports Park and Hickory Motor Speedway, while Connor Zilisch won at Ace Speedway and Augie Grill scored the victory in the tour's most recent stop at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
The next race for the CARS Late Model Stock Tour will be June 3 at Langley Speedway.
