Former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Johnny Sauter has joined the list of entrants for this year’s Georgia Spring Nationals at Crisp Motorsports Park on March 25-26.

The Wisconsin native will be making his fourth major Super Late Model appearance at the Cordele, Georgia facility, and his first since SpeedFest 2014.

While Sauter’s primary focus in recent years has been the NASCAR Truck Series, he has frequently made time for Super Late Model appearances when his schedule allows.

Last year, Sauter scored top-five finishes in the Howie Lettow Classic at Madison International Speedway and the Jim Sauter Classic at Dells Raceway Park with the ARCA Midwest Tour. He also won at Dells in the Alive for 5 Super Late Model Series.

Sauter joins an entry list with plenty of the top Super Late Model racers from the south competing in the Second Annual Georgia Spring Nationals. Bubba Pollard, Stephen Nasse, Jake Garcia, Hunter Robbins and Michael Atwell are among the announced entries for the event.

The Georgia Spring Nationals takes place March 25-26, with practice on Friday ahead of qualifying and 125 green-flag laps of racing on Saturday. It is the second round of the 2022 Southern Super Series, and the first of two points-paying stops at Crisp Motorsports Park for the tour this year.

Race fans unable to attend the event in person will be able to watch live on Racing America.
