Trackhouse Racing announced Thursday that Ross Chastain will race at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on Thursday, June 27.

Chastain will pilot the No. 1 Tootsie's Orchid Lounge Chevrolet, prepared by Rackley W.A.R., in a special Thursday night event at the historic Nashville Fairgrounds ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series' visit to Nashville Superspeedway.

The Battle of Broadway 150 is a non-points race for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, where Chastain and touring stars will go against Nashville's strong contingent of local Pro Late Model competitors. Street Stocks are also on the racing card for the event.

The NASCAR Cup Series' Ally 400 takes place on Sunday, June 30.

"The partnership between Tootsies and Trackhouse continues to develop and bring exciting experiences to race fans," said Trackhouse team owner Justin Marks. "Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway is a Nashville icon, just like Tootsies. As always, we’re humbled by Steve Smith’s commitment to and support of our team and drivers. I know we’re all looking forward to watching Ross race and hopefully win so we can celebrate at one of the greatest Nashville entertainment destinations Thursday night."

“First off, the NASCAR race weekend in Nashville is one of my favorite events of the year," said Chastain. "The city and state are great supporters of racing, so to add a grassroots race at this historic venue one day early was a no-brainer. Hopefully, we can light up the track just like the iconic Tootsie’s purple lights up Broadway.

“Secondly, thanks to Trackhouse Racing for letting me compete and to Curtis [Sutton], Willie [Allen] and everyone at Rackley W.A.R. for letting an outsider hop in. I can’t wait for this race to begin."

This will be Chastain's second appearance in a Rackley W.A.R. Late Model this year. Chastain finished second to Stephen Nasse in the Pro Late Model portion of Protect Your Melon: Buckle Up SpeedFest at Cordele Motor Speedway in January.
