Rocha Headed to Five Flags With Rackley W.A.R.

Centerville, TN – Blaine Rocha, who commanded his first outing with Rackley W.A.R. Racing Development at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on Aug. 7, returns to Pro Late Model action this Friday at Pensacola for the running of the Allen Turner 100.

Rocha dominated Nashville’s latest Pro Late Model event bringing Rackley W.A.R.’s winning tally to 3 for 3 in as many races at the city’s historic 5/8-mile, and in fact dominated virtually every practice session and heat lap leading up to the night’s feature.

Team co-owner Willie Allen was the winner of the track’s previous two pro late events.

This duo has a good history, and seems to be picking up where they left off. Rocha, 23, celebrated his first SRL victory in 2016 at Las Vegas with Willie Allen at the helm as his crew chief. It was in his inaugural season with the Super Late Model series where he’s currently in 6th place among the championship points for the 2021 race season.

In preparation to board a plane for Pensacola today from his California home, Rocha confirmed that the spirit is high at the Rackley W.A.R. headquarters located in middle-Tennessee.

“Yes we are feeling really positive with our performance in Nashville and the how the end of the year has been for us overall. We have been getting closer and closer to winning in our [SRL] west program, and we’re coming out with the Rackley W.A.R. team again this weekend.”

“I’m super-excited to see how we run at my first start in Pensacola. We are going there with the same goal we had going to Nashville and that’s to gain more experience but still compete for the win. I know the Rackley W.A.R. pro late model car is going to be good, I just going to have to work on myself adapting to a new race track. I adapt well to new tracks so I’m hoping it only takes me a couple sessions to figure out where I need to be on the race track.”

Rocha says from what he’s observed about the half-mile oval, he’s confident he’ll settle in and the team will hit its marks from the time they unload.

“I think it will fit me well. I like driving it hard into the corner and that’s something I hear you need to do, and running the inside wall will be a little different but I’m sure we will figure it out. It’s a looser race track and the pace falls off a lot so getting the car to last is going to be key I feel like.”

Action gets underway for the Pro Late Models on Thursday at 5 Flags Speedway beginning at 5 p.m. CST for open practice. Friday’s action kicks off at 3:45 p.m. for the first practice session of the afternoon. Green flag racing begins at 8 p.m.
