Heavy rainfall along with lightning and a tornado watch that moved into the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway area late Friday afternoon has forced the postponement of 1/4-Mile Championship Friday, the opening night of the 40th Curb Records / Borchetta Bourbon All American 400 presented by Sucker Punch weekend.

Before the rain arrived, both Super Late Model and Pro Late Model practice sessions were completed under dry conditions, giving teams valuable track time in preparation for the remainder of the weekend. Unfortunately, showers intensified shortly thereafter, making track drying efforts unsuccessful and prompting the postponement of Friday’s racing program.

In Pro Late Model practice Friday afternoon, a pair of JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour sessions gave teams valuable track time ahead of Saturday’s All American 100. In the opening round, Michael Bolden (#95) paced the field with a 19.078-second lap, edging Tristan McKee (#7M) and Albert Francis (#33) for the top spot. Brandon Lopez (#6) and California’s Jade Avedisian (#24) rounded out the top five. When cars returned for the second session, local favorite Jackson Boone (#7B) topped the charts with a quick 18.940, narrowly ahead of McKee and Isaac Kitzmiller (#25). Vito Cancilla (#27) and Lopez again showed strong speed to complete the top five.

In Super Late Model action, the ASA STARS National Tour competitors turned two quick rounds of practice on Friday afternoon. Casey Roderick (#30R) led the opening session with an 18.570-second lap, ahead of Michael Hinde (#69), Ty Majeski (#91M), Dylan Fetcho (#89), and Dawson Sutton (#26). When the second session rolled around, hometown standout Fetcho jumped to the top of the charts with a blistering 18.352, just two-thousandths quicker than Carson Brown (#81) of North Carolina. Jonathon Knee (#5K), Sutton, and Majeski completed a tightly packed top five as teams fine-tuned their setups for Sunday’s 40th All American 400.

The 1/4-Mile Championships have been rescheduled for Saturday, November 22, with a rain date of Sunday, November 23. Detailed times, divisions, and updated schedules will be released in the near future.

Fans and teams are encouraged to hold onto all tickets and pit passes from Friday’s event, as they will be honored for admission to the rescheduled program.

Despite the weather interruption, the remaining two days of the All American 400 weekend will continue as scheduled, with both Saturday and Sunday forecasts calling for dry and clear conditions:

• Saturday, November 8 – All American Saturday:

The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Pro Late Models, Vore’s Compact Touring Series, and CRA Street Stocks powered by JEGS will highlight the evening card, along with CorvetteParts.net Pole Qualifying for Sunday’s 300-lap Super Late Model finale.

Grandstands open at 3:00 PM, with racing beginning at 5:00 PM.

• Sunday, November 9 – All American Sunday:

The weekend culminates with the 40th running of the Curb Records / Borchetta Bourbon All American 400 presented by Sucker Punch, featuring the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour Super Late Models. Pre-race festivities and driver introductions will precede the green flag for 300 laps of championship short-track racing.

Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are available online or at the gate upon arrival.
