CONCORD, NC (Nov. 5, 2021) – An agreement between Racing America, powered by Speed51.TV, and Southern National Motorsports Park in Lucama, NC has been reached to offer the prestigious Solid Rock Carriers Thanksgiving Classic being held Nov. 26 to 28 to the network’s subscribers.

The three-day event features an incredible line-up for race fans on all levels. Friday action includes Carolina Crate Modifieds, Limited Late Model Dash for Cash, Chargers, Legends and Bandoleros. On Saturday, viewers and fans in the stands will see Pro Late Models, Street Stocks, Southern Lightning Modifieds, Legends, Mini Stocks, Bombers and Bandoleros. Sunday has Late Model Stocks, Limited Late Models and a Drift exhibition taking to the track.

“Being able to offer the prestigious Solid Rock Carriers Thanksgiving Classic from Southern National is absolutely amazing for all of us at Racing America and Speed51.TV,” said Colin Smith, president of RTA Media. “There is so much on-track action for our subscriber audience to choose during the weekend and the track never disappoints for exciting racing.

“We want to thank Michael Diaz from SNMP for working with us and making this possible. With many people being off work because of the Thanksgiving Weekend, the interest level to attend or watch this race will be incredible.”

Making the weekend even more exciting is the fact MRN announcers Dave Moody, Alex Hayden and Steve Post will be calling all the action.

The first Thanksgiving Classic was run in 1998 and the 200-lap race includes past winners such as NASCAR drivers Denny Hamlin, Scott Riggs, Todd Gilliland and current crew chief Matt McCall, who was just announced as Brad Keselowski’s pit boss in 2022. Hamlin, McCall and local four-time track champion Jamey Caudill are the only ones with multiple-race victories.

SNMP is a 4/10-mile asphalt oval with 17-degree turns, seven-degree straightaways and 70-feet wide. The track is located off I-95 just west of Raleigh.
