An agreement between Racing America and Southern National Motorsports Park in Lucama, NC has been reached to offer the prestigious Solid Rock Carriers Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 24 to 26 to Racing America subscribers.

The three-day event is headlined by a 250-lap event for Late Model Stock Cars. Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Southern Lightning Modifieds, Southern Ground Pounders, Chargers, Legends, Bandoleros and Any Cars will also be in action over the course of the three days.

The first Thanksgiving Classic took place in 1998, won by Philip Morris. Other past winners of the Thanksgiving Classic include a collection of past and present NASCAR competitors such as Denny Hamlin, Scott Riggs and Josh Berry.

Berry, who is joining Stewart-Haas Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024, has won the last two editions of the Thanskgiving Classic, and will be seeking a third consecutive win in the event this year. With last year’s win, Berry joined Hamlin, four-time track champion Jamey Caudill and Matt McCall on the list of repeat winners in the race. McCall is currently the crew chief on the No. 6 RFK Racing Ford driven by Brad Keselowski in the NASCAR Cup Series.

While entries are still coming in for this year’s event, competitors entered include former CARS Tour champions Deac McCaskill and Jared Fryar, 2022 South Carolina 400 winner Brenden Queen, and 2015 track champion Jonathan Findley.

Other notables among the announced entries include Doug Barnes, Jr., who finished third in the 2021 Thanksgiving Classic, 2009 ValleyStar Credit Union 300 winner Jake Crum and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitor Kaden Honeycutt.

Racing begins on Friday, November 24 with competition in four divisions. The Bandoleros will take the track first, followed by Chargers, Legends and the Any Car class. Racing will begin at 8 p.m. ET on Friday.

Those four divisions will also race on Saturday, November 25, with the green flag falling at 5 p.m. They’ll be joined by Mini Stocks, Southern Lightning Modifieds, and Street Stocks for Day Two of the Thanksgiving Classic.

On Sunday, November 26th, it’s the main event, the 250-lap feature for Late Model Stock Cars. They will be preceded by a 75-lap Limited Late Model feature and a 20-lap race for the Southern Ground Pounders. Racing will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Last Chance Races, with pre-race ceremonies to follow.
