Qualifying Results: 2025 Snowball Derby at Five Flags

Preston Peltier claimed pole position for the 58th Annual Snowball Derby during qualifying on Saturday night at Five Flags Speedway.

Peltier, the 2017 pole-sitter of the prestigious event, clocked in at 16.240 seconds during an eventful and dramatic qualifying session. Delayed by one evening due to persistent rainfall during Derby week, the veteran Peltier proved he will be one to watch in Sunday's 300-lap contest.

"I'm old, but I'm still fast," said Peltier in his interview with FloRacing following qualifying. "I just wanted to give it one more try, and here we are.

"I can promise you the car is better than me."

Ty Majeski, a two-time winner of the event, qualified seconds. Hudson Bulger, Jake Finch and Spencer Davis rounded out the top five.

Three NASCAR Cup Series competitors failed to lock into the Snowball Derby field as one of the top 30 qualifiers on Saturday evening. Kyle Busch, Erik Jones and Noah Gragson headed to the Last Chance Qualifier on Saturday evening, looking for one of four transfer spots into the main event.

Busch won from the pole in the 25-lap LCQ, with Stephen Nasse, Derek Griffith and Jake Garcia also transferring. Gragson did not take the green flag in the LCQ or set a qualifying time with issues on his No. 30 entry.

Matthew Craig and Gavan Boschele earned provisionals in Sunday's field based on their points finishes in the Deep South Cranes Blizzard Series and ASA Southern Super Series, respectively.
