During CARS Tour Media Day on Thursday in Charlotte, NASCAR Canada Series champion Treyten Lapcevich announced he would be joining Chad Bryant Racing to compete full-time on the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock circuit during the 2024 season.

Lapcevich makes the move south with support from ALLREM Racing, Evirum and Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Both he and Bryant believe the combination can compete for wins and championships this season on the CARS Tour.

"I really hope we can get up there and compete for wins, and hopefully compete for a championship," said Lapcevich. "I think we’ve put ourselves in a good position and surrounded ourselves with the right people. There’s no doubt that Chad’s program is one of the best. To have the support of Evirum and Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship means a lot.”

“The expectations for this year, we intend on keeping our history alive and competing at the highest level for championships and race wins, week in and week out," said Bryant. "It’s not all the time you get to compete with a driver the caliber of Treyten. Our expectations are really high for Chad Bryant Racing and all of our partners, Hedgecock Racing and so on. We look forward to representing Evirum, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship and all the partners of Treyten."

Lapcevich has nine career wins in the NASCAR Canada Series, including seven last year en route to the 2023 series championship. Those wins came on a variety of circuits, from short tracks similar to the ones he'll tackle on the CARS Tour to the road course at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, even on dirt at Ohsweken Speedway.

Bryant believes that versatility will serve Lapcevich well when competing against a stout CARS Tour field in 2024.

“It’s a very competitive series. Stateside, you don’t hear much about it, but watching their races, they race all kinds of facets. They race dirt, they race road races, they race little bullrings like we race week in and week out. I’m really excited about his talents and his capabilities with our program.”

The 2024 zMAX CARS Tour schedule begins in March at Southern National Motorsports Park. The Pro Late Models will compete on March 2, while the Late Model Stock Cars race on March 9 as part of Southern National's first-ever "Speed Week."
