Sammy Smith Takes Super Late Model Racetrack Revival Victory
Aug 14, 2022
Entry lists have been released for the Limited Late Model and Street Stock portions of the Racetrack Revival at North Wilkesboro Speedway, with 80 cars between the two divisions.
The Limited Late Models and Street Stocks will compete on August 30-31, in conjunction with the CARS Late Model Stock Tour’s trip to North Wilkesboro. The Limited Late Models will race 50 laps on both Tuesday and Wednesday night, while the Street Stocks will have 35 lap features each evening.
An impressive 50 entries have been filed for the Limited Late Model division’s Holiday Inn Express Wilkesboro 50 and Hampton Inn Wilkesboro 50. A stout collection of the top Limited Late Model drivers in the Mid-Atlantic region will all be on hand as part of the last two days of racing on the current North Wilkesboro pavement before it is removed for the dirt portion of the Racetrack Revival in October.
Meanwhile, 30 Street Stock competitors will take part in the CrossRoads Harley-Davidson 35s. There will be many familiar names for fans of the Mid-Atlantic Street Stock Series and other local Street Stock divisions in the Carolinas as part of the field.
On Tuesday, August 30, the Limited Late Models will take the track at approximately 8 p.m. ET following the conclusion of CARS Tour qualifying. The Street Stocks will follow with their 35-lapper to close out the night.
On Wednesday, August 31, the Street Stocks will open the night, followed by the 125-lap CARS Late Model Stock Tour event. The Limited Late Models will contest their second 50-lapper as the final race on the schedule.
Event tickets are available at racetrackrevival.com for fans planning to make the pilgrimage to North Wilkesboro Speedway for the event. However, we understand most fans won’t be able to attend all of the racing throughout the month of August in person.
