JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Ready to Close Out the 2022 Points Season at Winchester Speedway Friday

A strong group of 32 talented Pro Late Model drivers are currently entered to compete in the series’ JEGS 100 Season Championship event on Friday evening.

Salem, IN. (October 10, 2022) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will close out their 12th season of points competition this Friday, October 14th on the famous High Banks of Winchester Speedway, helping kickoff the big 51st Winchester 400 Weekend Presented by Vore’s Welding & Steel. A strong group of 32 talented Pro Late Model drivers are currently entered to compete in the series’ JEGS 100 Season Championship event on Friday evening.

This Friday’s event will be the tenth points event of the season for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. Casey Roderick won the series’ season opener on April 24th at Salem Speedway. Dylan Fetcho won the second event at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on May 7th. Kyle Crump won the series’ third event at Birch Run Speedway on May 15th. Ethan Stadniczuk won the fourth event of the season at Flat Rock Speedway on June 16th. Carson Hocevar won the series' fifth event at Birch Run Speedway on July 2nd. Willie Allen won the July 9th Masters of the Pros event at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Nicholas Naugle got his first JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour win in the series’ event on August 6th at Anderson Speedway. Leading series rookie Nick Egan picked up his first series’ win in the series event on September 3rd at Winchester Speedway. Carson Hocevar won the series' last event at Birch Run Speedway on September 10th, becoming the first series driver with multiple wins in 2022.

The two drivers racing for the Championship on Friday includes Chase event winner and Regular Season Champion Nick Egan. The Wisconsin native has already clinched the series 2022 Rookie of the Year Award. Owensboro, Kentucky native Dakota Stroup is the second Chase for the Championship driver, he had been battling bad luck for several races before coming away with a third-place finish in the series' last event on September 10th at Birch Run Speedway. The driver finishing the highest of those two in the 100 lap Season Championship event on Friday will be crowned the 2022 series Champion. It will be the first CRA Championship for either driver.

The two Championship hunting drivers will have plenty of CRA competition to race against on Friday, including defending event winner Jon Beach, Anderson event winner Nicholas Naugle, Flat Rock event winner Ethan Stadniczuk, two time series Champion Dan Leeck, ARCA/CRA Super Series Chase competitors Albert Francis and Billy Van Meter, brothers Brandon and Evan Varney, Kevin Cremonesi, Jimmy Tucker, Chase Burda, Michael Simko, Scotty Tomasik, James Krueger, Jonathan Martin, J.P. Crabtree, Jordan Miller, Jordon Riddick, Tom Miller and Jared Smith. Dylan Stovall, John Stapleton and New York native Rick Giannino are entered to make their series’ debuts Friday night.

Gio Ruggerio leads a strong group of outside talent that have entered Friday’s JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Season Championship event. Ruggerio has won two big Pro late Model events in a row coming into next Friday’s event, he won at Five Flags Speedway on September 24th and then won at Montgomery Motor Speedway on October 1st. In all Ruggerio has seven Pro Late Model wins with the Anthony Campi Racing team.

15-year-old William Sawalich is entered. Sawalich has two ARCA/CRA Super Series wins in a row, including the Labor Day Weekend event at Winchester Speedway event and the Glass City 100 at Toledo Speedway on September 17th. Sawalich also has five CARS Pro Late Model Tour wins so far in 2022.

Super Late Model great Stephen Nasse has entered the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Season Championship event. Stephen was the 2019 Winchester 400 winner and scored a JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour win that season on Labor Day Weekend as well as winning the ARCA/CRA Super Series event that Weekend. Texas racer Ryan Luza will make a return visit to Winchester as a teammate with Nasse for Jett Motorsports.

Florida native Michael Hinde is also entered for Friday’s event. Hinde won the series SpeedFest 2022 season opening event at Watermelon Capital Speedway on January 29th. Hinde finished second to Sawalich in the Winchester Speedway ARCA/CRA Super Series event on Labor Day Weekend. Hinde was the Nova Motorsports Fast Qualifier with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour at Winchester on Labor Day Weekend but was out of the feature early with suspension issues.

Veteran late model competitor Jeff Fuikltz will make a rare start in Friday’s JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Season Championship event. Fultz is a two-time winner with the ARCA/CRA Super Series at Winchester Speedway and finished second in a JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event at Winchester 2012. Fultz won 26 Late Model events with NASCAR between 1996 and 2006 and won three Championships.

Things begin for the Winchester 400 Weekend with an optional load in, hauler parking and pit pass purchases on Thursday, October 13th from 3 to 7pm.

Pits open on Friday, October 14th at 10:30am with rotating practice for all divisions beginning at 1:30pm. Second round practice and Group Qualifying for the Vore’s Compact Touring Series and the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Series and Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks New Star events will start at 4:15pm. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Nova Motorsports qualifying will start at 6pm. Racing action will begin at 7pm with 20 lap Vore’s Compact Touring Series B Main. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Season Championship JEGS 100 will be up next. The Vores Touring Compacts Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales 30 will follow that. The CRA Late Model Sportsman and CRA Street Stocks 20 lap New Star features will cap off the night's racing action.
