Jackson Boone Continues Hot Streak at Nashville, Scores Meaningful Win

With a freshly wrapped pink and black No. 7 for the month of October dedicated in memory of his aunt, Jackson Boone scored a memorable and meaningful win at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway Saturday night.
Boone picked up his fourth win of the Pro Late Model season at Nashville, picking up where he left off two weeks ago at Five Flags Speedway’s Night of Champions when he won their Pro Late Model finale.
He did so with a car that replaced the red on his familiar scheme with pink, adorned with the pink ribbon for Breast Cancer Awareness and “Racing for Cathy” written on the car. Jackson’s aunt, Cathy Boone Leigh, passed away in 2019.
“She’s not with us here on earth, but she’s watching,” said Boone in victory lane. “We wrapped this car pink for her this weekend, and it paid off.”
On a night that saw plenty of attrition between on-track incidents and mechanical failures, Boone persevered for the win. He inherited the top spot on lap 15 when Dylan Fetcho suffered an engine issue while leading.
Running up front also kept Boone ahead of several multi-car incidents which trimmed down the field, as only 10 of the race’s 26 starters were running at the checkered flag.
“Really, staying out of chaos was just trying to get up front early. Get away from the trouble before it ever started. It paid off for us. Hats off to my FHR team, man. They’ve got this thing just absolutely stupid fast.”
With double points on the line in the Bass Tire 100, Boone will enter the season finale during All American 400 weekend as the points leader. Fetcho’s DNF, along with Hunter Wright also falling out early, allowed Boone to assume the top spot in the points chase.
The Pro Late Model finale will take place on Saturday, November 4. Typically, the Pro Late Model All American 100 has been raced on Sunday in recent years alongside the 300-lap Super Late Model feature, but this year’s event sees the Pro Late Models headlining Saturday’s racing program.
