The 44th Annual Great Canadian Race Weekend on September 26th and 27th, 2025 at Delaware Speedway is one of Canada’s longest running, most sought after race event wins that has a rich history with an incredible list of winners from Canada and the USA including Biederman, Hanley, Ross, Roblee, Leslie, Gibbons and Fitzpatrick with Biederman winning the inaugural event in 1981. This year's Great Canadian Race weekend will feature the Castrol 300 for the APC Late Model Series and a total of six Championships decided over the two-day event including the Dayco Super Stocks and Doxtator Property Maintenance V8 Stocks on Friday Sept. 26th and the URS/OSCAAR Hot Rod, URS/OSCAAR Overkill Enterprise Modified, the NTN Triple Crown for Late Models and APC Late Model Series on Sept. 27th.
Friday will be the Great Canadian Race Prelude that will feature 50 laps for the Dayco Super Stock Series that will have a $20,000 purse and pays $5000.00 to win along with the V8 Stock Championship and the Liftow Bone Stock Shootout. Saturday will feature the URS/OSCAAR Hot Rod and Modified Champions being crowned, and we will complete the weekend with the Castrol 300 where the APC Late Model Championship will be decided. The Castrol 300 will have a record purse of over $90,000.00, paying $15,000.00 to win and the NTN Triple Crown champion will also be crowned. That is not it, any driver that races in the Super Stock and Late Model races will receive a $2,500.00 bonus for the highest average finish of the two races and if a driver wins both features, it will turn into a $10,000.00 bonus. There will be over $130,000.00 paid out during the Great Canadian Race weekend. All of these divisions have fierce points battles going on and are never short of close exciting action.
The Great Canadian Race Weekend is going to be huge with all kinds of activities, live music on Saturday with Cailey Hamilton, camping and two great days of racing. This is one of the biggest, richest, and most prestigious short track events in the country that will be incredibly exciting for race fans and racers alike and we expect to draw the best of the best throughout the weekend.
