In the 2024 edition of the 4th Up North 104, Blake Rowe started on the outside pole after qualifying was washed away that afternoon. Rowe led the opening 91 laps, holding off challenges from Brandon Varney and Chase Burda. On a restart, Burda and Rowe made contact, resulting in Rowe going to the tail of the field. Varney and Burda seemed to be the pair who would battle for the win, but local favorite Steven Ulman had charged through the field and capitalized on the restart to take the lead with just 12 laps to go. Ulman held on to get one of the most popular wins of the 2024 season.

In 2025, the JEGS Tour has had an aggressive streak since Owosso and Flat Rock with tempers and body panels flaring. Kyle Crump survived the May edition of the Big O Classic 100 at Owosso Speedway that saw over a dozen caution flags and four lead changes. Then, two weeks ago, 2024 JEGS Tour Rookie of the Year, Chase Pinsonneault, took the lead inside of 10 laps to go to earn his second career JEGS Tour win at Flat Rock Speedway in Metro Detroit.

The run toward at 2025 JEGS Tour Championship is tight heading into Whittemore Speedway. Billy VanMeter holds the top spot in the Championship chase over Keegan Sobilo and JEGS Tour Rookie, Chris Shannon, who both sit eight points behind VanMeter. Albert Francis and Chase Pinsonneault round out the top five, with Dylan Stovall tied for the top five spot in the Championship Points Standings.

The 4th Up North 104 from Whittemore Speedway is Saturday, July 5th with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. Tickets are available at the gate on race day. Fans who can’t make the trip can watch all the action at RacingAmerica.Tv or TrackTv.com.
