Slinger Super Speedway has unveiled its first look at the entry list for the 44th Annual Slinger Nationals, featuring more than 40 cars.

The list, posted to Slinger Super Speedway’s Facebook page, features 42 drivers from 11 states, including three current NASCAR Cup Series competitors as well as NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Matt Kenseth.

Last week, Chase Elliott announced his plans to compete in the Slinger Nationals, making his first trip to the marquee Super Late Model event. He will be joined by Hendrick Motorsports teammate William Byron, as well as Erik Jones.

Matt Kenseth is an eight-time Slinger Nationals champion, more than any other driver in the event’s history. Other former winners on the entry list include Byron (2022), Luke Fenhaus (2021), Ty Majeski (2018, 2020), Conrad Morgan (1999) and Dennis Prunty (2015).

The 44th Annual Cobblestone Hotels Slinger Nationals Presented by Lynch Buick GMC West Bend will take place on Tuesday, July 11 at the quarter-mile facility in Wisconsin. More than half of the entry list is composed of Wisconsin racers hoping to keep the Slinger Nationals trophy in the Badger State.

Some of the names to watch among the Wisconsin natives include multi-time track champion Steve Apel, NASCAR Truck Series competitors such as Majeski, Johnny Sauter and Derek Kraus, and other standouts from the region such as John DeAngelis, Gabe Sommers, Andrew Morrissey, Jacob Nottestad and RJ Braun.

Of course, there will also be plenty of top Super Late Model racers from across the country looking to spoil the party and claim the Slinger Nationals honors. Whether its other racers from the North and Midwest such as William Sawalich, Dan Fredrickson, Gio Ruggiero and Austin Nason, stars from the Southeast such as Bubba Pollard and Stephen Nasse, 2022 Oxford 250 winner Cole Butcher or defending Snowball Derby champion Derek Thorn, there will be plenty of drivers to watch at Slinger.
