Salem, IN (March 23, 2022) – Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS officials have released the entry form for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance 100 lap 2022 season points opener, which will be part of the Second Annual Midwest 250 promoted by Track Enterprises on the famous High Banks of Salem Speedway, located in Salem, Indiana on Sunday, April 24th. The ARCA/CRA Super Series will also be part of the event with a 100-lap feature. The Salem Speedway GAS Series Street Stocks will also have a 50-lap event as part of the race program on that Sunday afternoon.
2022 will be the 12th season of competition for the Crate Late Model Series, who’s last eleven-point champions include Erik Jones in 2011, Daniel Hemric in 2012, Cody Coughlin in 2013, 2016, 2020 and again in 2021, Dan Leeck in 2014 and 2019, Car Owner Champion Bill Burba and Driver Champion Dalton Armstrong in 2015 and Jack Dossey III in 2017 and 2018.
The Track Enterprises promoted Midwest 250 event in 2021 was very successful, drawing a great crowd out to see the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour who have competed at Salem Speedway six previous times. Cody Coughlin has two series wins at Salem in 2013 and 2016, Grant Quinlan got the win the 2014, Jack Smith in 2017, Borden, Indiana’s Cole Williams got the win in 2018. Louisville, Kentucky’s Trey Craig got the win in last year’s event at Salem, his first ever win with the series and win at Salem Speedway.
There will be an open practice on Saturday, April 23rd for all three divisions competing in the Midwest 250. Pits open at 11am with rotating practice for all divisions going from 2pm until 5:45pm.
On Sunday April 24th, pits will open at 8am. Practice for all three divisions is set to begin at 10:30am. Qualifying for all three divisions will begin at 12:30pm. Racing action will begin at 2pm with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour 100 lap feature, followed by the GAS Series Street Stocks 50 lap feature with the 100 lap ARCA/CRA Super Series feature capping off the day’s events.
Tickets for the Midwest 250 will be available online starting April 1st. The ticket buying link will be listed on www.trackenterprises.com and www.salemspeedway.com in addition to social media posts. Tickets will also be available at the gate on race day. Race info can also be obtained by calling the Track Enterprises office at 217-764-3200.
