A known winner in Michigan in Template Late Model racing at tracks like Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway, Corrigan Oil Speedway, and Kalamazoo Speedway is taking the leap into traveling with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance in 2024. A 2019 Late Model Sportsman Champion at Galesburg Speedway, Dylan Stovall hopes to add race wins, big money, and a JEGS Tour Championship to his collection.

A native of Billings, Montana, Stovall now calls Wayland, Michigan home and has taken his Hutchinson Construction No.24 to several tracks across the state in his relatively short time in racing. A rookie in 2018, Stovall collected his first career win during Championship night at Kalamazoo Speedway. The following season, Stovall set out to racing on Friday and Saturday nights between Kalamazoo Speedway, Corrigan Oil Speedway, and Galesburg. To go along with his Galesburg Championship, Stovall earned 5th in the final Kalamazoo Speedway Championship standings and was awarded as Most Improved Driver.

In 2020, Stovall earned what he calls one of the most memorable wins of his career, capturing the title of Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway’s Michigan Cup Champion. Stovall had to survive a race filled with stiff competition and plenty of cautions to win the multi-day end-of-the-year special. In 2021, Stovall made his debut on the Champion Racing Association podium at Anderson Speedway with the Vores Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman. The following year, Stovall started his first career JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event at Winchester Speedway during Winchester 400 weekend; he finished 6th.

Last year, Stovall tested the JEGS Tour waters more than ever making three starts with the Tour. His first appearance came at Owosso Speedway during the Masters of the Pros 184, an event that challenged the Hutcherson Racing No.24; after qualifying 16th, Stovall became the third car of the night to expire with an engine failure. A return to the JEGS Tour at Winchester Speedway during the World Stock Car Festival resulted in a fourth-place finish for Stovall, who backed that performance up with a 6th during Winchester 400 weekend in October.

Stovall says the decision to follow the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance in 2024 was about challenging himself more as a driver, and proving what their team is capable of.

“We’re trying to make a name for ourselves and trying to get out there,” explained Stovall. [So,] why not race with the best if you want to be the best,” Stovall said.

The build of the 2024 schedule for the JEGS Tour fits perfectly into Stovall’s wheelhouse too. The season opener at Berlin, a track he’s turned many laps at in recent seasons, a stop at Corrigan Oil Speedway where he has wins, and tracks like Owosso, Anderson, and Winchester where he’s had success in the past, drew Stovall to the Tour.

A majority of these races, that’s what we did last year,” Stovall reflected. “We jumped around and made sure we were comfortable [with other tracks]. We have faith in our team, the car, and me, now, going back to a place where we’ve raced before,” he said.

Stovall joins a list of nearly a dozen other drives who have intentions of running the entire JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance schedule in 2024. The fight to gain an edge on the field begins on Saturday, April 27th at Berlin Raceway in Marne, MI. A Champion will be crowned on Friday, October 11th at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, IN.
