Seth Christensen Cruises to Cordele Pro Late Model Victory

Dustin Smith claimed his third win of the season in the Pro Late Model division at Mobile International Speedway on Saturday, adding to his points lead in the division.
Smith started on the front row alongside pole-sitter Maddox Langham after a two-car invert, and quickly jumped out to the lead. Smith led all 50 laps of Saturday's feature race to claim the win.
Now with a 24-point lead at Mobile and sitting second in Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series points at Five Flags Speedway, it's been a strong year for Smith.
"It's definitely been a good car for us throughout the years," said Smith in victory lane. "Pretty much maxed out what we can do with this thing, but it's been fast this year. I can't thank Alex Query enough for turning the wrenches on it, my dad allowing me to do this, and all the sponsors, SA Recycling, Johnny's RV, everybody that has been a part of this program."
Chad Robinson finished second after making some big changes to his No. 33R following qualifying looking to chase down Smith.
"We threw a hail mary at it after qualifying," said Robinson. "It helped, but we've still got a little bit of work to do to catch Dustin.
"It's getting there. I've got to do a little bit to catch up with Dustin, but I've got to thank Eddie for letting me drive it and everything he does for us."
A new face claimed the final step on the podium in Carter Taylor. A former winner at Five Flags in their Outlaw division, Taylor finished third in his Pro Late Model debut with Bragg Racing Group.
"It was definitely fun," said Taylor. "It's something different. It's completely different than any other car I've ever drove, especially the Outlaw. Even though they've got the same motors and frames, they seem like two completely different cars.
"It's great being out here and running with Chad Robinson and them. They've been doing it for a long time, so it's just a pleasure to race with them."
Langham finished fourth, with Clayton Green rounding out the top five.
The next event at Mobile International Speedway sees the ASA Southern Super Series come to town for the Mobile 100 on Saturday, August 2. For the Pro Late Models, a feature race on August 2 will be the last race before the Lee Fields Memorial on August 16.
