Chase Pinsonneault dominated on Sunday at Toledo Speedway, winning the House of Meats 100 for the Turn One CRA Pro Series.

Pinsonneault scored his second win of the season, taking the lead just five laps into the 100-lap feature and maintaining the top spot the rest of the way. It was a convincing victory for Pinsonneault, and one that had him displaying emotion as he climbed out of his No. 14.

“I have to try to hold it together here,” said Pinsonneault in victory lane. “If there is a place I wanted to win, this is the one. I’m in front of really great people, super thankful for all my guys. I don’t know if I’ve had a race car that good, so I’m just super proud. I’ve won at the little bullrings, but winning at a mile or a half-mile is a really big deal to me. Just super thankful.”

Pinsonneault entered the afternoon as the championship leader for the Turn One CRA Pro Series. With fast time in qualifying and the win, Pinsonneault added to his advantage.

“All you can do for the championship is do everything you can do in one day. That’s what we did. New track record, won second practice, won qualifying, won the race. Not a whole lot more you can ask for from this group of people. Just happy that I could execute for them.”

Tyler Lupton finished second, continuing the pursuit of his first career Turn One CRA Pro Series win. Lupton drove from 11th on the grid to the runner-up spot in the 100-lap contest.

“I think coming from 11th is tough,” said Lupton. “I think we burned up a little bit on our right-front there. Overall, I can’t thank VanDoorn Racing Development enough for giving me a great car. I mean, this thing was a rocket. We were able to pick some off on the restarts and get some in clean air. Once we had some clean air, I felt like the car was really good.”

Billy VanMeter, who won one weekend ago at Birch Run Speedway, finished third on Sunday at Toledo. It added another VanDoorn Racing Development car to the podium.

“Honestly, the VanDoorn guys couldn’t have given me a better car,” VanMeter said. “I just needed a little more roll speed on my end, kind of a talent level, I think. It was a good day for VanDoorn cars, a good day for Edco Welding, a good day for Mastin and Caine, and a really good points day for me. Not as good as I was hoping for, but it was a great day, and I’m happy to have a good day at Toledo.”

Blake Rowe finished fourth, with Michael Simko rounding out the top five.

The next race for the CRA Pro Series is the Motor Mountain Masters 150 at Jnnerstown Speedway. That event is scheduled for Saturday, August 29.
