What already promised to be a star-studded stop on the Road to the Snowball Derby on Friday, June 28 is now even more impressive.

Chase Elliott, the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion and two-time Snowball Derby winner, plans to compete in Friday’s Busch Light 100 at Five Flags Speedway with support from Fr8 Auctions.

Elliott joins a field of top Super Late Model drivers for the combination event with the ASA Southern Super Series and the Deep South Crane Blizzard Series. The Blizzard Series offers teams the opportunity to race and prepare for the Snowball Derby, held each December at Five Flags Speedway.

Along with those short track standouts, fellow NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick is also competing in Friday’s event. Harvick is reuniting with Busch Light to support his effort in the No. 62 Kevin Harvick, Inc. Super Late Model.

Elliott has increased the frequency of his Super Late Model appearances in recent years. This season, he has competed with the ASA STARS National Tour at New Smyrna Speedway and Hickory Motor Speedway.

In his last appearance at Five Flags Speedway, Elliott finished third in the 53rd Annual Snowball Derby in 2020. Elliott won the Snowball Derby in 2011 and 2015, and is a five-time race winner in Five Flags' Blizzard Series.
