After winning the Snowball Derby last month, Chandler Smith said he intends to remain present and committed to Super Late Model racing throughout his career even as it becomes busier in the pursuit of NASCAR national touring championships.
At least through 2022, the 19-year-old made good on that promise and then some.
Smith has crafted a 41-race combined schedule across the NASCAR Truck Series with Kyle Busch Motorsports and Super Late Models with Donnie Wilson Motorsports. That keeps the top Toyota Racing Development prospect in a race car virtually every week of the season.
The Super Late Model portion of the schedule is supported by energy distributor entity Fuel Me -- a relationship cultivated by Smith himself.
"It’s an honor to have Fuel Me come on board as a primary sponsor of Chandler Smith Racing," Smith said in a press release. "Fuel Me reached out to me last year and asked if we could talk about partnering with Chandler Smith Racing to help brand the company. We have talked many times and with the exposure and contacts we provide, it has made it possible for Fuel Me to become the primary sponsor for all my Super Late Model races with Wilson Motorsports and TRD."
The agreement calls for Fuel Me to become the official fuel supplier of Wilson Motorsports and Chandler Smith Racing.
Per the press release, ‘the Elmhurst, Illinois based company is revolutionizing fuel procurement, while expanding clean energy product initiatives and positioning itself as the energy distribution solution of the future.’

We are excited to kick off the 2022 season with Chandler racing for wins and eyeing another Snowball Derby Championship in the Fuel Me No. 26 car.
