Oct 30, 2023
The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance is set to conclude the 2023 season on Saturday, November 4th as part of the 39th All American 400 weekend at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. A little more than a week before the event is set to take place, the entry list is already full of drivers who have Championships and high profile race wins. Those accolades come from all across the country as drivers look to add a Nashville guitar to their trophy case.
Chase Burda, the recently crowned JEGS/ CRA All-Stars Tour Champion, currently sits as the only former CRA champion in the field. The 18 year old Lapeer, MI native made a splash on the CRA scene in 2023, collecting his first career JEGS Tour win at Birch Run Speedway before going on to won a total of four races this season. That mark ties Brian Campbell for second on the most in a single season. Not only did Burda win the most races this season, he also won on some of the biggest stages.
His first win came during the kick off of the Triple Crown at Birch Run Speedway. A mini series that, if he were to match the criteria, could have awarded him $25k at the end of the year. His second win came during the Masters of the Pros 18r at Owosso Speedway. After getting involved in an early race incident, the No.18 fought back for the richest win of his career at $10k. To cap the season off, Burda went back-to-back at Winchester Speedway winning during the World Stock Car Festival and during Winchester 400 weekend. As for Burda and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, he posted a fifth place finish back in July.
Another driver who has secured a championship this season includes Milverton, ONT driver, Kyle Steckly. His championship came with the APC Series Late Models in a season that included seven top five finishes. Steckly's No.22 made two trips to Victory Lane this season, the first at Peterborough Speedway in June and the second at Sauble Speedway in August. Steckly also has five starts this season with the NASCAR Pinty's Series leading 84 laps this season and posting a career best second place finish at Ohsweken Speedway in August.
Other champions include Michigan’s Evan Shotko. The 2022 Berlin Raceway Champion will make his trek to Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway after a season that saw him finish third in this season’s championship hunt behind Andrew Schied (entered) and Brian Campbell. Isabella Robusto will also be in the field on Saturday; the Fort Mill, South Carolina native is a two-time State Champion in the U.S. Legends Semi-Pro division. She’ll be making her first JEGS Tour start at Nashville.
Nashville champions will be well represented on Saturday as well with Dylan Fetcho leading the charge. The two-time Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway Champion is again in the running for his second consecutive title and third in four years. He’s going head-to-head for this year’s title with 2019 Speedway Champion, Jackson Boone. Joining them in the JEGS Tour field is another two-time Speedway Champion, Cole Williams. The southern Indiana driver has been off the scene since starting his family at the end of the 2022 season.
