CONCORD, N.C. (November 19, 2021) – Racing America, powered by Speed51.TV, will broadcast the Solid Rock Carriers Race of Champions event slated for Saturday, December 11 at Bobby Watson’s Carteret County (NC) Speedway.
Being billed as one of the biggest events in the track’s history, the 125-lap Late Model Stock race pays $10,000 to win and $1,000 to start. Also on the card is the Legends 50-lap, $2.500 to win race and the National Jr. Mini Cups.
The entire race day will be broadcast on Speed51.TV for its subscribers. This adds yet another event in December for race fans to watch.
“We are honored to have made this agreement with Carteret County Speedway for Racing America, powered by Speed51.TV to air another great race in what some may consider the off-season,” said Colin Smith, president of RTA Media.
“Being able to make races like this one available to our loyal subscribers is even better for fans looking for some winter racing.”
Bob Lowery is the current owner, taking over for Bobby Watson after his passing in 2018. This event is one Lowery has been looking forward to on the track’s schedule.
“We’re glad to have Racing America partner with us again and are excited to bring fans the final racing event in the Carolinas of 2021,” Lowery said.
Located a few miles from Emerald Isle along the Atlantic Ocean, the track has enjoyed a resurgence in car counts and fan attendance in recent years. Opened in 2015, the 4/10-mile paved oval has eight degrees of banking in the turns and four degrees on the straightaways.
