Brandon Jones will reunite with the Hawk McCall Motorsports team 12 years after their original pairing. Jones, who runs full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for JR Motorsports, will contest three zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock events this Summer with the team that helped launch his racing career.
"It's truly an honor to be back with Hawk McCall Racing after all these years," said Jones in a team release. "The opportunity to reunite with the team brings back fond memories of our past successes, particularly our win at Concord Speedway in 2012. It's incredible to reflect on how far we've come since then, transitioning from the early days of my career at just 14 years old with Lee McCall, to now being 27 and ready to bring a decade more of experiences to the table."
Jones will get his first start in the No. 9 Hawk McCall Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro at Ace Speedway on May 3, and he'll return to the CARS Tour at North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 15, and again at Hickory Motor Speedway on July 27.
The No. 9 machine will carry sponsorship from the C4 Foundation as well as DEFIANT, Jones' own brand and apparel company.
The Hawk McCall Motorsports team scored the inaugural zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Series championship back in 2015 with driver Brayton Haws behind the wheel.
Jones, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, is a five-time race winner in the NASCAR Xfinity Series ranks, and he has one win in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competition.
While Jones has yet to score a win in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season, he has recorded three top-10 finishes in the opening nine races of the season, as well as a pole position, and he sits 13th in the championship standings.
Jones is also an eight-time race winner in the ARCA Menards Series ranks, and he has competed in a slew of prestigious asphalt late model events such as the Baby Rattler, the Snowflake 100, SpeedFest Pro Late Model 125, SpeedFest Super Late Model 200, and the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway.
