A new campaign led by a member of the iRacing community aims to bring Michigan's Berlin Raceway to the popular online racing simulation platform. With a rich history and diverse racing formats, Berlin Raceway offers a unique opportunity to enhance the iRacing experience.
Located just outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Berlin Raceway is celebrated for its challenging track layout and top-notch facilities. The track has evolved over the years, while being primarily asphalt, has also seen clay put down and hosting the World of Outlaws among other series. Berlin offers up one of, if not the most diverse schedules in America, from super late models to supermodifieds.
“It’d be an honor to have our 7/16ths mile oval to the iRacing platform and have it immortalized and available for racers from around the globe to compete on. We’re proud of what’s been built here and feel it’d be one of the more unique and challenging tracks on the sim,” said Jeff Striegle, Berlin Raceway's general manager.
The campaign, initiated by iRacing league manager Tanner Tallarico, seeks to honor this iconic venue and showcase the community's interest to iRacing developers. Adding Berlin Raceway is seen not just as an expansion of available tracks, but as a tribute to a beloved racing venue with a lasting legacy.
Supporters are encouraged to sign an online petition and share it with friends, family, and fellow racing fans. The goal is to bring the excitement of Berlin Raceway to the virtual racing world, allowing fans to experience its storied history from their own homes.
