Ashton Tucker Extends Petty Dominance With Sixth Straight Win

Ashton Tucker (#2) added another notch to his belt Saturday, remaining undefeated in Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series competition at Petty International Raceway by claiming the LV Auto Parts and Repair 150 to kick-off the 2026 season.

His sixth win at Petty would be his record holding eighth career win on the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series - extending his lead as the all time wins leader. This was his most dominant win thus far at Petty, pacing the field for 133 laps after starting third place en route to the victory.

Tucker - who was the 2024 champion of the series - led a podium compiled of all three past Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series champions. Reigning champion Tanton Wooldridge (#01) tied his career best result with a runner-up effort, while 2023 champ Dylan Gosbee (#16) drove from shotgun on the field up to a third place result, putting on a show in the process. Ryan Messer (#1) and Steve Halpin (#03) rounded out the top five.

It was a fast paced clean race - but one that did not come without attrition. Only one (1) caution slowed the field, which came after the completion of lap 83 when Michael Cormier (#4) broke an axle. However, many competitors fell by the wayside having to pit under green, including early leaders Braden Langille (#26) and Kent Vincent (#8), along with 2025 feature winner Devin Snell (#10).

With just one caution slowing the pace, it was a near record setting race time, with the race being completed in 42 minutes and 46 seconds. Eighteen (18) drivers took the green, and the lead changed hands four times between three different drivers. Kent Vincent, Tanton Wooldridge, and Ryan Messer took heat race victories.

Next up, the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series heads to Speedway 660 for round two, a 150-lap battle in the Geary Woods on Saturday May 30th, 2026. More details to come!
