ASA Southern Super Series Cordele Bound for Georgia Summer Nationals

The ASA Southern Super Series heads to Cordele Motor Speedway for the Georgia Summer Nationals this Saturday, continuing a summer tradition at the facility.

A field of Super Late Model standouts heads to Cordele, Georgia for the 14th running of the event at the Watermelon Capital. Currently, 24 drivers are entered for the contest.

Southern Super Series stars dominate the entry list. Past series champions Bubba Pollard and Stephen Nasse are both entered, with Pollard the all-time wins leader at Cordele in Southern Super Series competition. The Senoia, Georgia driver has won eight of the 19 previous Southern Super Series events at Cordele.

Jake Garcia is second on that list of SSS winners at Cordele, including last year's World Crown 300 and three Georgia Summer Nationals wins. With an off weekend for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Garcia will swap out the No. 98 ThorSport Racing Ford F-150 for his No. 35 Fr8 Racing Ford, looking for another Cordele triumph.

Another Craftsman Truck Series competitor in the field is Kaden Honeycutt, who has enjoyed a wildly successful 2026 season. Honeycutt has gone to victory lane 15 times this year, including wins in the NASCAR Truck Series, ARCA Menards Series, both divisions of the zMAX CARS Tour, the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing, the Modifieds of Mayhem Tour, the Virginia Late Model Triple Crown and the I-95 Showdown Series. He hopes to add a Southern Super Series triumph to that list on Saturday.

Matt Craig, coming off a second-place finish with the ASA STARS National Tour at Newport Speedway, will be seeking his fifth career ASA Southern Super Series win.

Several Georgia drivers, like Garcia and Pollard, will be looking to win in their home state this weekend. ASA Southern Super Series second-place point man Spencer Davis is among that contingency, along with Hudson Bulger, Allen Gordon, Ryan Herbert and Brandon Lopez.
