Racing at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park scheduled for Saturday, August 12 featuring the ASA/CRA Super Series' Circle City Twin 50s, USAC Eastern Focus Midgets, NEMA Lites and the National Pavement Midget Championship has been cancelled due to an unfavorable weather forecast for the weekend.

With the potential for inclement weather on either Friday or Saturday and scheduling complications that could arise as a result with the ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series scheduled to compete on Friday, officials have opted to reschedule the National Pavement Midget Twin 25s and cancel the rest of Saturday evening's planned racing.

"Due to potential weather that may impact the completion of Friday’s ARCA Menards Series Reese’s 200 and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series T-Sport 200, we have made the hard decision to postpone Saturday’s National Pavement Midget Twin 25’s to our Saturday, October 14th Championship Saturday event and cancel the Midget All-Star Challenge, featuring USAC Eastern Focus Midget and NEMA Lites, along with the ASA/CRA Super Series Twin 50’s," reads a statement from Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

"This decision was done to avoid potential unwarranted travel by our teams and fans for the event if we are forced to utilize our 'weather day' for the completion of Friday’s events. We truly appreciate the support and interest that was shown by fans and teams for this unique event and hope that the stars align for a future event together. All tickets and credentials will automatically be refunded by the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park ticketing department."

The next event on the ASA/CRA Super Series schedule will be on Sunday, September 3 at Winchester Speedway as part of the World Stock Car Festival, a Labor Day tradition at the high-banked half mile.
