Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl is ready to open its gates one more time for the biggest race weekend in the State of Vermont. The 62nd Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank begins with the Saturday afternoon kick-off courtesy of Booth Bros./Hood Milk supporting the Vermont Milk Bowl Qualifying Day! The all-important Time Trial qualifying for the Late Models, Flying Tigers and Street Stocks leads the business of Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Day while visits from the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models, New England Supermodified Series and PASS Modifieds make it a can’t miss program!
Time Trials and ‘Triple 50’ heat race action for the American-Canadian Tour/Maplefield-Irving Late Models highlights Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Day. Each Late Model will get two laps under full power to put down the fastest time in an effort to start the 62nd Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank on the pole and take the $1,000 Booth Bros./Hood Pole Award! The second-fastest pilot will nab a $500 prize and take the outside pole, setting the front row for Sunday’s Milk Bowl.
Following Time Trials, the ACT/Maplefield-Irving Late Models will be split into three heat races, the ‘Triple 50s.’ Each of the Triple 50 heat race qualifiers carries its own $4,300 purse, paying out the top-ten while only five drivers will qualify through these 50-lap heats. Four more drivers will be added to the starting field based on qualifying times, the fastest four not yet qualified in will tag on with Sunday’s Last Chance B-Feature leaving the last available position to join the Milk Bowl field.
Group Time Trials await the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers and the rk Miles Street Stocks on Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Day with both weekly track championship divisions running the first of their two segment Mini Milk Bowls on Saturday.
The Maine-based Pro All Stars Series brings its full contingent of touring stars to Barre’s Thunder Road on Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Day. DJ Shaw leads Johnny Clark in the Super Late Models ranks going into the final three-race stretch for the regional touring series. Bobby Timmons, Russ Wood and Ben Seitz are in a tight fight for the New England Supermodified Series title while the PASS Modifieds are tied with Dan Brown and Zach Bowie each at 1074 points each atop the standings!
The Nation’s Site of Excitement returns to action on Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6 for the 62nd running of the Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank! Mark your calendars today for the ‘Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America’ starting with Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Day on Saturday, October 5 that also features the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models, PASS Modifieds and the New England Supermodified Series!
