Montgomery Motor Speedway kicks off its 2023 season with one of its marquee events the Alabama 200. The Hunt for the Bear promises to be an exciting race, with a top-notch roster of Pro Late Model drivers and teams already entered.

Augie Grill snapped a winless drought in Late Model competition at SpeedFest in January with a victory in the Pro Late Model 100. Grill is a six-time Alabama 200 winner and won the Hunt for the Bear 58 for the Modifieds of Mayhem at last year’s race.

In 2022, Dylan Fetcho won track championships at Five Flags Speedway and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, as well as the Baby Rattler at South Alabama Speedway. The Lebanon, Tennessee driver hopes to add the Alabama 200 to his resume in 2023.

2021 Show Me the Money Series champion and Alabama 200 winner Christopher Tullis will be looking for a bounce-back year in 2022. Tullis finished fifth in the Show Me the Money points chase last year, but could not replicate his 2021 success with a victory. He hopes to change that and score another signature Bear trophy to start the 2023 season.

A full look at the entry list can be seen below.

One year ago, the Alabama 200 saw nearly 40 entrants, with Hunter Robbins taking the win. Ruggiero won two races en route to the Show Me the Money Pro Late Model Series championship at Montgomery, with Jake Garcia also going to victory lane.

The 2023 edition will be the 59th running of the Alabama 200, with the event's history dating back to 1960. Past winners of the event include Richard Petty, Bobby Allison, Red Farmer, Neil Bonnett, Donnie Allison and Chase Elliott.

Along with the Pro Late Models, this year's Alabama 200 includes the Hunt for the Bear 59 for the Modifieds of Mayhem as well as a feature for Montgomery's Shelby Concrete Street Stocks. For more information, visit montgomerymotorspeedway.org.
