Keelan Harvick Makes History as Youngest Allen Turner Snowflake Winner

One of the most trying weeks in the 58-year history of the Snowball Derby continued on Sunday, with the marquee Super Late Model race pushed to Monday, December 8 due to inclement weather.
Early morning rains pushed back the anticipated start of Sunday's race. After Five Flags Speedway officials dried the track, a dense fog rolled in as pre-race festivities took place. Further track drying efforts commenced, but ultimately cooler temperatures complicated those efforts, and the fog prevented racing on Sunday.
The 58th Annual Snowball Derby will now take the green flag at 1 p.m. CT/2 p.m. ET at Five Flags Speedway.
Several support classes originally scheduled to race on Thursday and Friday, December 4-5, had initially been moved to Monday. With the Snowball Derby postponement, those support divisions will now race on Tuesday, December 9 at 4 p.m. CT/5 p.m. ET.
To date, only the Allen Turner Hyundai Snowflake 125 has been completed during this Snowball Derby weekend due to persistent rainfall throughout the week. Keelan Harvick scored the victory in that event during the early hours of Sunday morning, becoming the youngest winner in the event's history.
Prior to the Snowflake 125, Snowball Derby qualifying and Last Chance Qualifier racing took place at Five Flags on Saturday. Preston Peltier claimed the Country Pleasin' Sausage Pole Award and will lead the field to the green flag on Monday afternoon.
