The inaugural Spears SRL National Super Late Model Tour event takes place Saturday at Citrus County Speedway. Ahead of this weekend's debut race, here are 10 Things to Know.

- Citrus County Speedway will host the first SRL National Super Late Model event on Saturday. The Florida track is a three-eighths of a mile oval opened in 1955 and has hosted several Florida Late Model touring series as well as many other regional series and events.

- This is a big money event, with $15,000 going to the winner and $1,000 going to each starter.

- Speed51.TV will be live at Citrus County for the main event if you can’t make it to the track to watch. Also the local races will also be broadcasted live on Speed51.TV.

- While the SRL National Schedule is not complete, there are two scheduled events at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan on June 8th and August 10th. We expect to hear more about the schedule in the coming weeks.

- The number one car of Michael House was the first entry for the SRL National Tour event. House is from Nashville, Tennessee and has been trekking outside the comforts of the home track. He was a solid seventh in his last race at SpeedFest in Georgia last month.

- Bubba Pollard has to be looked at as an early pre-race favorite after winning the Red Eye 50 and the SpeedFest event at Watermelon Capital Speedway (GA). Pollard has won at Citrus County Speedway in the past in the Full Throttle 100 back in 2020.

- There are a lot of local heroes that will be looking to play spoiler to the outside crowd. George Gorham was second to Pollard in the 2020 Full Throttle event and others like Michael Atwell, Daniel Webster, Dylan Bigley and Jared Irvan will be tough in Florida night.

- The next big race at Citrus County Speedway will be the Wheelman Series on Saturday, February 19th.

- While the local racers are tough the long haulers or regional guys have a solid showing already, from Ty Majeski and Dan Fredickson from the Midwest to the New Hampshire ace Derek Griffith. Throw in Chris Davidson from Texas and Jake Garcia from Florida and it’s a very diverse field.

- The Pure Stocks will go 25 laps, as will the Outlaws and Outlaw Street Stocks. There will also be a figure 8 race to help finish off a solid racing card.
