Teams will qualify for SpeedFest 2022 Friday ahead of Saturday afternoon's feature racing. To prepare you for the weekend of action, here are 10 Things to Know about SpeedFest 2022 at Crisp Motorsports Park.

- Watermelon Capital Speedway opened in 1982 and was a dirt venue for many years before being paved for asphalt racing. The three-eights of a mile was a staple for the Georgia Asphalt Series from 2004 to 2009. That was an era where Pro Late Model racing was king in Georgia and drivers like Bubba Pollard, Chase Elliott and Korey Ruble first got their feet wet in Late Model racing. Today the track still holds weekly events for the Pro Late Model drivers looking to climb the ladder.

- For the first time ever, the SpeedFest Super Late Model event will be contested over a 150-lap distance, which is closer to a regular distance race for the Southern Super Series at Watermelon Capital Speedway.

- The pre-race entry list shows that a handful of drivers are attempting double duty. Here is that list of double dip drivers among the two Late Model racers: Cody Coughlin, Stephen Nasse, and William Sawalich.

- The Pro Late Model field is deep with veterans in the division like Cole Williams, Dylan Fetcho, Christopher Tullis and Steve Dorer. The one question we have is who will be the surprise, or Cinderella story. Other than Stephen Nasse, there are no former winners in the field for this race.

- There will be three 26 cars on Sunday in the Super Late Model race. Bubba Pollard will drive the TM Ranch Chevy, Josh Berry will be in the 26B Harrison’s Workwear/Solid Rock Carries Chevy and defending Snowball Derby winner Chandler Smith will be in the 26S Fuel Me/Smith General Contracting Toyota.

- The full racing card will consist of five events, the ARCA/CRA Super Series and Southern Super Series SpeedFest 150, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Pro Late Model 100, the North-South Modified 50, the CRA Street Stock 75 and the 25-lap event for the Legends Cars.

- While some drivers are still building their legacies, we assembled a list of some of the best to ever race at SpeedFest.

- Nearly 30 Modifieds are expected to be on hand for this weekend’s festivities. The North-South Modified Shootout will take place on Sunday in between the Late Model events.

- Ryan Moore has had lots of Super Late Model success at Speedweeks in Florida, but this weekend he is taking on the SpeedFest in Georgia. Racing America caught up with Moore this past week.
