Friday Portion of South of the Border Showdown Cancelled

With forecasts projecting rain throughout Friday afternoon and evening at Lake View Motor Speedway, track officials have canceled Night Two of the South of the Border Showdown. Friday's DIRTcar Sportsman Modified feature will not be made up.

"With the impending forecast, we will be canceling the Friday portion of the South of the Border Showdown," said the track in a Facebook post. "We will be back on Saturday for the $3000 to win 50-lap DIRTCar Sportsman feature."

While the DIRTcar Sportsman Modified portion of Saturday's event remains unchanged, there will be additional racing added to the final night of the event. The Vintage Modified and Sportsman classes will contest double features on Saturday. Jr. Mini Sprints have also been added to Saturday's card.

Practice will begin at 4 p.m. ET, with heat racing starting at 5 p.m. Fans unable to attend the event will be able to watch live on Racing America.
